The sunrise brought more than it's usual light today. Gary pulled up with the sun, unpacked his baking implements, and got to work. An early riser and organized worker he knocked out two cakes while I barely drank coffee and read what passes for news.

At $2.00 per, these are quite the bargain. Some may remember these cakes being available at Mountain Made a couple of years ago, and yes your memory is correct, they cost much more then. If you are reminiscing now, "you're welcome." You can thank Gary, he decided the price. It needs to be said these babies were made with duck eggs, the biggest juiciest raspberries I've seen in awhile, orange zest culled from a big sweet naval orange (I was allowed to eat the orange), and of course melt in your mouth chocolate chips. As the Raspberry Chocolate Chip Cake came out of the oven the smell of raspberries hits first and hard, lucky me! Wish you were here. We have lots of baked goods for the weekend so bring your sweet tooth and your insulin.

the cakes are moving out today, 2 pieces of raspberry orange and 5 of the chocolate chip.
